Research and Brainstorming
I researched the cultural heritages of South Africa and the United Arab Emirates, using their flags and shapes as inspiration for my design approach. By analyzing each culture’s visual identity, I was inspired to blend them, and my art and textile research revealed rich themes based on colors, patterns, and cultural traditions.

Style
I used a ‘mixed dimensions’ design framework to combine cultural elements and honor their heritages.

Elements
I concentrated on the circular design elements
found in CM.com and Whatsapp, which
seamlessly integrate into CM morse
